Remove the background from a photo

PrintSnip finds the person in your photo and removes everything behind them. Keep it transparent, choose white for ID photos, or pick any colour. Hair and edges can be touched up with the Erase and Restore brushes.

How to use it

  1. Open Photo editor → Remove background and choose a photo with a person.
  2. Wait a moment while the person is detected on your device.
  3. Use Erase or Restore to fix any edges; choose transparent, white or a colour.
  4. Save as PNG (transparent) or JPG (with background).

Privacy and saving

Photo and document edits are processed on your device. Account information is stored on the server. Adding or removing PDF passwords and signing PDFs use temporary server processing, and files are deleted immediately. Print-shop orders use temporary encrypted storage. Read the Privacy Notice before sharing sensitive files.

No. Detection and removal run on your device.

Can I make a white background for a passport photo?

Yes. Choose White, or use the Passport/visa photo tool which sizes the photo too.

Which format keeps transparency?

PNG. JPG always has a solid background.

Can I blur the background instead?

Yes, with Photo editor → Blur background.
